James Rhodes on Musicality

I want to share this wonderful article I discovered by having also discovered James Rhodes’ book, “Instrumental: A Memoir of Madness, Medication, and Music.”  It is a hauntingly real story of Mr. Rhodes fighting his personal demons, only to be anchored to reality by his love of music, especially the piano and the Classical.  One that I can truly relate to.  A worthy, though triggering, read.

The Guardian article – for which Mr. Rhodes blogs – “Forget the Mad Genius Composer Myth,” can be found here.  Enjoy and reflect.
